Adventure Medical Kit (AMK) Trauma Tourniquet is designed so you can control extremity bleeding quickly and easily.

This stretch wrap tourniquet provides a multi-purpose bandage for trauma care that can be applied in seconds. It is essentially an elastic band that is tightly wrapped around a limb (upper or lower), above a wound, to prevent loss of blood from a trauma accident. It is remarkably compact (110×110×15mm in packaging) and weighs just 106 grams making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.

In addition to its use as a tourniquet:

• Use it as a bandage to secure primary wound dressings in place when applying direct pressure to a wound to control bleeding.

• Use it as an improvised sling to immobilise a fractured upper limb.

• Because it’s an elasticised broad pressure bandage, use it on a snake bite to initially isolate the bite site before applying other bandages along the length of the limb.

• Because it’s a length of elasticised rubber, in a survival situation use it to make a sling-shot, a bow-string, binding, braided rope, fire-starter, sun and snow goggles, etc…..
